Many people are familiar with the "all seeing eye"
For this project I wanted to put little bit of a Cemanahuac Spin on that all seeing eye so I made it into a Citlalli or Xitlalli.
I try to incorporate some sort of flower or star into EVERY painting because my name is Xochil Xitlalli,
Xochil (xochtli) means Flower, Xitlalli means Star 💫 🌻
I made these canvases from scratch, the 2 small ones are actually made of upcycled wood. I am a math lover & number nerd and wanted to make sure the triangles all had 6 x 30 degree angles that make each side 60 degrees, totalling to 180 degrees, which is reduced to 9, and 3,6,9, are THEE magical numbers. I tired to take photos of them with light and without , these are all iridescent shimmering pieces. They space background is also UV / or neon blacklight reactive.
